Marketing From A Woman's Point of View

Position Yourself As An Expert With Article Marketing

One of the easiest ways to establish yourself as an expert is to learn and practice the process of distributing your articles to publishers and newsletters all across the Web. As you continuously submit your content to publications the Editors will begin to recognize your name, and will seek out your content above others. It’s a great way to build trust with your customers and subscribers to establish you as a reliable source.

If you’re brand new to the whole idea of article marketing, you’ll quickly learn that there is no easier way to get improved search engine placement, more relevant one-way links and loads of qualified traffic to your site than by providing website owners with the content they need to attract more visitors.

Article marketing is extremely effective because it’s highly targeted. Only relevant sites and newsletters will publish your articles so you’re sure to reach an interested audience. The idea of using keywords is important when it comes to multiple article submission on the same topic to different directories. By changing up your keywords, you make it much more likely that a searcher using different words in their search query will see one of your submitted articles and be directed to your website. It also reduces the possibility of your article being rejected for containing duplicate content. There are many article directories that scan for this and won’t allow article submissions that are not different enough from each other.

Here are a few simple guidelines to follow:

• Have an angle for your article – controversial, edgy – possibly something that is already being talked about in the media.

• Make the article very specific & keep it short – 500 words or less (remember to use your keywords)

• Use a strong headline that intrigues your reader

• Identify your Target Market – within the first 2 sentences, indicate who it is that you’re writing to and identify one specific problem your target market is facing

• Provide the solution to this problem. Give something that they can apply to the challenge they’re facing.

• Provide a call to action. For example: “If you would like to know more, visit our website and get your copy of our special report”

• Include a benefit oriented byline – i.e. a link to your website with a freebie. This is a critical piece to include at the bottom of your article.

• Remember the “what’s in it for me” and link to your website in this byline rather than including information only about your credentials etc.

You can save time and automate by submitting your article to various online websites using the following services:

Google yourself and see where your articles are posted. Go to www.google.com and enter your name. OR use the Google Alert resource at http://www.google.com/alerts – you set the search terms that you want to receive an “alert” on and Google will email you regularly showing you exactly where your search term appears.

Having links popping up all over the Web is the stuff Internet marketers dream of. Top-ranking sites consistently use article marketing to put their links in front of the right people. Ideally, you want to be in one of the first 10 positions on the search engine page rank. Ranking well in the search engines for your particular keyword term is the key to all of this. With millions of websites all looking to grab traffic, it’s simply not enough to put up a site and hope visitors find you.

Good overview of what it takes to position yourself with article marketing. I am surprised no one else has commented on this post. If nothing else, the online submission websites are worth a thank you.
